Sci Fi kit bash
Got randomly inspired the other day to have a go at some 6mm Sci Fi skirmishing. The result was this little kit bashed research station. It’s not completely finished and if anyone has any ideas or tips to improve it that would be brilliant.
The idea is that the two units are small mobile (in the same way as a porter cabin) research stations. There both modular units that have been kited out for different tasks. You have the coms and lab in one and living quarters in the other with a small generator out back. I also have the idea that there partially dug in to the ground for protection from the harsh climate.
I Really got a lot of enjoyment out of making these, it’s nice to do something a bit different and make something out of left over’s.

Seems great how it stands, adding anything else would over do it – maybe.

I like them, I think if you are concerned about them being more building-like then maybe hiding the arches (leg holes?) would help a touch?

I see where you’re coming from, maybe I could turn them in to some sort of vent. I think part of the problem is I know where they came from therefore know what they are.
They are definitely meant to have more pod like feel than a building.

Yup that’s what they are. There the leftover bodies from an old tau 40K walker, a bit of recycling.
maybe have some dirt/mud/detritus heaped up against them to disguise what they are? Would fit with them being part buried…?
That’s a good idea make them fit in to their environment a bit better as well, rather than just sitting on it. More like there just the visible entrance to the building.
